Now that I’ve been home for a few days and had time to catch up I thought I should write to you. I want to thank you for another wonderful safari. Were you aware this was my 18th safari with Freeman Safaris? As always the service, attention to detail and the quality of guiding was of the highest order.
In particular, I wanted to comment upon the reserve. I guess as a result of the increase in park fees there were far fewer vehicles. Indeed for a large part of the time I thought I had the reserve to myself! As a result, animal sightings were much more enjoyable as I was often the only vehicle present.
To be frank, this latest experience has changed my mind, as I had fully intended to stop visiting the Mara, as in recent years it had become an unpleasant experience and not at all enjoyable. Far too many vehicles with drivers/guides not prepared to behave in a responsible fashion and thus stressing the animals.
Hopefully my latest experience is evidence that things are changing for the better.
