Small Group Safaris

Welcome to Freeman Safaris, home of 'Yesterday's Safari Today'. We specialise in taking small group safaris over the rolling savannah grasslands of Kenya through to the Great Rift Valley. The only way to gain a true experience of Kenya and witness the birds and game in their natural habitat is to be on the ground and interacting with your surroundings. There are no fences, no caged animals, no land owners restricting where you go; so it is vital that safaris are carefully organised and led by an experienced guide, for the safety of both the safari group, the wildlife and the landscape. Taking small group safaris puts money back into the country which helps to protect the local environment and provides further incentive for the local population to work towards this end as well.Small group safaris are perfect for photograph opportunities. In a car of 4/5 people there is plenty of room to get the right shot, and because I do not run my safaris to a strict time schedule you will be given all the time you need too. Very often, if we find a particularly interesting scenario, we will spend many hours watching the events as they unfold. Perhaps we will see a mother cheetah feeding her cubs, or a herd of impala drinking at the river, or if you join us on the Masai Mara migration safari then you may get to witness one of nature's greatest spectacles - the stampede of game making their way to warmer plains for the Winter.
There are certain things you may like to know before joining us on a Kenya safari so we've created a "Tips" page which contain useful information related to the following areas:
Temperature - with temperatures ranging from 20 and 30 degrees you'll need good sun protection. On the tips page I've some useful advice on those areas you might not have considered, but which need covering up.
Dust - the Kenyan plains can be dusty and therefore you'll need to consider protecting expensive items like cameras
Drinking Water - included within the cost of the safari you will need to take on plenty of water to prevent rapid dehydration from the high temperatures and a constant breeze which will disguise exactly how much water you are losing.
We've put together plenty of information on all of the small group safaris we run so please take the time to read up on each one and don't hesitate to contact us with any questions or to book your adventure.
