African Safaris

Thursday, January 15, 2009

Here at Freeman Safaris our aim is to show you the real Kenya, a country which has to be explored from the ground and by interacting with the surroundings. The beauty of African safaris, such as those we embark upon each year, is that the game is not fenced. It is not owned. The animals are wild and so, not only are you experiencing, first hand, game in its natural habitat, but also the money you pay goes directly towards the local people who protect the environment for future generations of explorers.

There are other African safaris which are run to a tight schedule; a predetermined agenda. But wild animals don't follow a daily routine, so this idea seems a little flawed. The way we operate our safaris is one which makes the most of every day, and although we create a plan for which areas we are going to visit on each day, we much prefer to be flexible to ensure that our guests see as much of the wildlife as they can. If we are camped at a site which has a particularly plentiful array of wildlife then it would make more sense to extend our stay at that spot to make the most of the opportunity - and that is what we tend to do in that situation! We can also tailor our African safaris, wherever possible, to take into account the type of experience our guests are wanting to have.

There is plenty of information on the African safaris we run throughout the rest of our website. You can read up on the latest Newsletter, find out a little more about me, check some Testimonials or learn more about the Itineraries for the safaris.

"For a truly memorable and lifetime Kenyan safari experience, we whole heartedly recommend Brian Freeman and his team without any reservation whatsoever. Personal care afforded was absolute and, photographically, we were presented with unimaginable closeup views of wildlife and village life that will stay with us forever. The holiday exceeded all our expectations, a holiday we will repeat."
